When choosing a Plasma Television there are many options.

With plasma televisions quickly becoming the standard television of the day the prices are constantly coming down and the demand for plasma is going up. When choosing which plasma TV to buy there are many options. You'll find that you can shop online for a plasma and get a much better price than you would from your local TV store on the EXACT same plasma television.

One of the drawbacks of shopping for a plasma TV online is finding a credible TV store that can deliver AND back up the product. Additionally you can read all the plasma television reviews,

In light of this it's usually wise to go with a name brand manufacturer like Sony that specializes in plasma and HDTV televisions, or a large distributor of plasma televisions. sony plasma televisions are probably the best quality plasma money can buy and when purchasing a large item like a plasma TV you're better off spending a little more now than have to try to return or repair your plasma TV later. Shipping a plasma TV more than once would end defeating the purpose of your research.

Plasma televisions are the definitely the way to go and

Canon PowerShot A570IS Digital Camera WaterProof Case

What customers have to say about Dicapac:Kathy from NY - I used the DicaPac case during my last vacation. This thing is really water and sand proof. I used it under the water of the Caribbean deep blue sea and let me tell you the pictures were greats. It was my first time taking underwater photos and a for moment during this vacation I felt like I was Jacques Cousteau... The flexible material allows you to maintain complete control over all your camera's functions. Nothing got inside the pouch. Great product. I will use it again on my next trip to Bermuda.---------------------------------------------Simon from FL - All the DiCAPac is a really great buy. Its super cheap, protects your camera, and gives |ne auilmty ter Wout more do you need?------------------------------------------------Mary from TN : I was scared at first to take it completely underwater but where we were at, it was either leave my camera completely vulnerable to thieves on the beach OR take it with me in the water with the DicaPac. It worked out just fine and kept my precious 850 bone dry. Couldn't believe it. It seems like such a simply concept but it all worked out and just about everyone I met while on our trip all said they wished that had brought something down similar for their camera. Even a couple who bought an "Aquapac" (which I almost got instead) much preferred our DicaPac.I see it as more than just my inexpensive "underwater camera housing". It also protected my cam from the elements during a pretty bad rain storm, walking the beach with all the wind, sea and salt plus a trip on a boat out to sea where we were constantly getting splashed with sea spray. Now at home, we plan on using the DicaPac for an outting down a local river on tubes.

Stop worrying about the potholes in the road and enjoy the journey.

Outdoor photographers in the 21st-century, we live in a world of uncertainties. I am writing this article to ensure you that there are many ways to lessen the hassles of traveling nowadays. Ever since the horrible disaster that America has faced with September 11, 2001, our security has been beefed up at our airports with professional federal employee, these young & mature men and women as I have personally observed are friendly and courtesy and do their job extremely well. I had never had any problems with these professional. Before I go on a photo trip I usually start planning well in advance within a year to six months before I depart, I do major researching on the Internet, as well as networking through the photographic organizations I belong to. I truly fine this valuable information to contact photographers who live in the area. I do 90% of my bookings online I find this to be the quickest and easiest way, after I have the hotel, car, and a home-based hotel. I do not book Airlines online due to the fact I do not want to be surprised, I preferred to have a fixed schedule 95% of the time I can book the airline at the same price from online. I'll also FedEx all of my photographic equipment and film, as with my film which is placed in x-ray bags I do not worry, besides, I take all my film an tape the box at the FedEx center. So if they want they can check the contents of the box. I have never had any problems with federal express, and if you follow the instructions that I am going to give you'll have no worries whatsoever. But I assure you my very expensive photographic equipment is safely delivered to the home-based hotel. I have read and seeing so many articles and suggestions on this topic. I just had to show you the best way and put it a nutshell. Granite the majority of the articles I have read are insulting your intelligence, its commonsense. Please Note: that these guidelines and suggestions are for domestic travel and if you're into outdoor photography, this will benefit you greatly. So here are my guidelines and suggestions to the outdoor photographer for the 21st-century with great success.

In the beginning:

. Intense research- (at least six months-a year)

. Networking- (within professional organizations)

. Budgeting- ($200 a month for six to 12 months)

In the beginning these are the three keys: intense research, networking, and budgeting. Researching which includes: Internet, mappings, literature, brochures, professional photographers, commerce, national wildlife refuge, travel agents, all of this takes time that is why I personally take the time at least six months to a year to research the area or areas of interest. Networking: if you belong to a well organization like the Photographic Society of America or North America Nature Photography Association or any other well-established organization you have the great benefit of your membership to network. By contacting photographers who are in the area that you desire to visit, besides I have personally met new and wonderful people who are like-minded by networking. Budgeting: now this is the tough part, I personally put $200.00 a month aside for photo travels for six to 12 months this gives me plenty of money to participate in activities I so desire, I do not stay in luxury hotels or rent luxury cars nor, do I have luxury meals. By all means I stay at hotels that are clean, and I usually try to get rooms with a refrigerator and I usually shop at local grocery stores, this way if I am in hot climate I can keep my film cool, and have some food also. If a refrigerator is not available I would use the air condition to keep at least the film cool, I usually buy salads, and slimfast, so refrigerator or an air condition does me find.

Part Two:

. Confirm- (confirm reservations)

. Photographic equipment- (cleaning, testing, packing)

. Locating drop-off center- (FedEx in my case)

. Reconfirm- (double checking)

. Clothes- (pack for ideal climate)

. Weather- (forecasting for the area)

. Paperwork- (any and all)

. Lab Bags- (transparencies and prints)

. Emergency /Meds- (first aid kit & prescription medications)

. Other equipment- (gsp, cell, two radio, cb hand held, laptop chains/locks)

Part two, and with these nine keys: confirm, photographic equipment, location for drop-off, Reconfirm, clothes, weather, paperwork, lab bags, emergency meds. Confirm: this is where you will call, hotel, airline, car rental, and hotel(s)-(home-based). Photographic equipment: this key could continuously be dragged on but I will put it all in a nutshell. First of all if you are going to use a carrier service like I do you're going to need to set up an account. I know that federal express is free to set up an account; if you do not have an account with a carrier service I strongly suggest you get one. So let's say you do have an account. What we need to do now is to have our shipping container and camera case and equipment ready to pack safely I bubble wrap each piece of equipment that is most fragile. Drop-off center: I also know were the drop-off center is from the home base, you can do I web search or call 800 numbers. Reconfirm: well this is commonsense do I really need to explain this one? But make sure you get a confirmation number from the hotel of where you will be staying for your photo adventure, placed this number somewhere on the shipping container, but only for the first hotel base. If you're going to be using multiple hotels you can transport the equipment in your rental car to the next hotel. Clothes: pack for ideal climate, forecast, watch the weather channel for your forecast, at least 2 weeks prior to your departure, this will give you an ideal of what to expect. Paperwork: make sure you have copies of any prescription medications you may need, also have any photographic lab paperwork, always have copies of your itinerary, and your state maps and or road atlas, plus your instruction manuals for your photographic equipment. I still prefer shoot transparencies I feel that Digital photography is more or less point and shoot. Remember back when you had them Polaroid cameras, well that's basically what Digital photography is. I still prefer to use my mind and skill and education. For the photographic lab bags, are consist of bubble bags and I use the bags to mail film from my home base hotel to the laboratory, I also carry an organizer that has all the photographic numbers and other important numbers I need, as well as other information, always be prepared. Emergency/meds: it's always good ideal to have a small first aid kit available specially when you're out in the field, and by all means use commonsense, always have your medical card, blood type, Social Security number, driver's license, any medications you are taking. Have it written down and placed somewhere on your person, you never know if you travel alone like I do, what happens if you're unconscious? Well, at least the medical emergency personnel will have some information. Other equipment: I use a GSP unit as well as a compass this help me stay on track and find my way back. I also use and have my cell phone, CB radio which gives me constant updates on weather, I also like to use a 7 foot chain with locks to secure the shipping case and camera case in the home base hotel.

At the airport hotel:

This is the first leg of the trip; I usually stay at the airport the day before departure. I truly believe that by staying at the airport hotel the night before is less stressful than rushing around the day of. The first things I do is check-in and ask for a wakeup call, approximately 4 a.m. I catch the early flights. I then catch the shuttle bus that will bring me to the departure gates of my chosen airline.

At the airport:

If you catch the earliest flight to your destination, which I always do. There are fewer passengers at these early times. The check-in counter usually opens about 5 a.m. at least the one I use, always check to be sure, the only thing I check in our my clothes bag which also contains my tripod and some other inexpensive equipment, per this writing transit authority now have locks you can purchase which they have the key too, this is usually a combination lock, this way if bags are in question the transit authority can open your bag without destroying it. My, carry on would include my laptop, cell phone, money, ticket, credit cards, and perhaps a book. As you're getting ready to go through security be prepared to have your ticket and driver's license out and ready, it is amazing to see people stumbling around to get their driver's license out. Also prepare to take off your shoes, I wear running pants and docksider easy to slip off, take everything out of your pockets put them in the plastic bowl, take out your laptop put that in a separate container and walk through the metal detector simple right? Wrong, if every passenger did this we would not have to stand in line very long just for commonsense. I would like to note to pack your tripod in you're checked luggage bag any non-fragile item w/clothes. I usually have the biggest duffel bag I can find. May your travels be a pleasant one.

Customer Review: Works like it should.
Works just fine, allows a decent number of shots. I bought an extra battery to go with my BG2 grip and 40D. With two batteries you can shoot for quite a while.
Customer Review: Dont Buy NON-Canon Batteries For Your Pro-Equipment
Yeah I know Canon batteries cost more , but you get what you pay for. Sure you can get the same battery from a different company for as low as $5 on Amazon , but I wouldn't trust those batteries in my equipment. I used to think the generic batteries were just as good until I bought a few. Years later my canon batteries still work and the generics are both almost completely dead. Buy canon batteries for your canon equipment

Where To Find The Best Rated Digital Cameras

Can you name the three best rated ultra-compact, compact, and SLR digital cameras? Chances are most people can't. There are so many choices in digital cameras these days, it's very difficult to get consensus. What's more important though, is that you can tell the differences between the three main categories of digital cameras? Those categories being ultra-compact (subcompact), compact, and SLR digital cameras. Knowing the pros and cons and what features they include is the single biggest deciding factor in what makes the best rated digital camera for you.

Ultra compact cameras are, (as their name implies) very small cameras. They can slip into the smallest of places. Like your pants pocket, a shirt pocket, small purse or accessory pocket on your backpack. Because of their small size, they can be fragile, so it's good to look for durability as a feature. They can be a bit more expensive because of their size, and image quality can suffer somewhat. Those choosing a ultra-compact value portability above other features. The Olympus Stylus 790SW is a good example of a ultra-compact that is both small and very durable.

Compact cameras are bigger than the ultra compact cameras, but offer several more features. While not as portable, they do take better pictures, and offer more control over camera settings like shutter speed, and ISO settings. Because of their size, they usually have more powerful zoom lenses. While both compacts and ultra compacts have large LCD screens, your more likely to find a viewfinder included with the compact digital camera. The Canon PowerShot A570IS is one of the best selling and best rated cameras in this category. It offers some leading technology like image stabilization and face detection for auto focusing.

While both ultra compacts and compacts could be considered point and shoot cameras, our next category is not. The SLR digital camera is the choice of many professionals and serious hobbyist photographers worldwide. SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. Basically, it means you see through the viewfinder exactly the same picture the camera sees. With SLR, you get complete control over all camera settings. Although many do include auto settings to ease the newbie SLR photographers learning curve. In addition SLR cameras have interchangeable lenses. Meaning you have a plethora of choices for shooting all kinds of shots from macro, to landscape, to wide angle to sports. The Canon Digital Rebel XTi and the Nikon D40 are both popular and well rated cameras in this category.

As with with purchase of many products, the key is to understanding what you as a consumer want and need. While there are many highly rated cameras, the consumer needs to understand the different features and skills required for each camera type. From there, it's simply a matter of choosing the best rated digital camera that fits within your budget. Once that's done, pick your vendor, make your purchase, and enjoy.

If you've been wondering what it means when you hear the term ultra compact digital camera then you're not alone. It can certainly get a bit confusing, discerning between the ultra compact and the compact. But there's definitely a difference, and the difference can be quite large.

The fact is that ultra compact cameras are exactly that...ULTRA COMPACT! Fortunately, these little cameras pack a powerful punch for their size, while maintaining an ease of use that's a force to be reckoned with. The ultra compact camera is basically perfect for the photographer who's constantly on the move, and wants to be able to simply point and shoot...and be able to have the confidence that the shots he or she grabs are going to be of high quality each and every time.

One amazing thing about these tiny little cameras is the performance that they offer. These are cameras that can easily fit into a shirt pocket, or purse, but at the same time can grab very good and high resolution shots. Most have a lot of menu options that actually help the photographer choose which is going to be the best menu option to grab the best shop possible.

In the digital camera world, the number of megapixels is often a chief determination of which camera to buy. You wouldn't think it, but the ultra compact digital cameras can very often have a very high megapixel count and take clear and detailed pictures. The range varies from three megapixels to up to eight or ten. Honestly, nowadays, you'll rarely find one offered with less than 5 or 6 megapixels. But with these cameras you'll get crisp, clear, and brilliantly colored photos that will amaze you.

A great many of the ultra compact cameras are outfitted with an incredible zoom and are capable of using this power to get in close on shots to get you right on top of the action. You'd probably be very surprised by how powerful a digital camera - the size of a playing card can be.

Since these are very portable and meant to be taken out and about and be ready to shoot in an instant, the response time is incredibly fast on most of the ultra compact digital cameras. Many come with the same processing technology that the regular compact cameras come with and therefore start up very quickly, and shoot at incredible speeds. If action is your thing, then you'll also be pleasantly surprised to find that many of the ultra compacts have a rapid fire response of 3 to 5 frames per second. This lets you get right in on the action and not miss a beat.

One of the luxuries of the ultra compact can be the very large LCD Screens used to frame the shot in, as well as review the photo after it's been taken. There are a few of these cameras that actually have a 3.5 inch LCD Screen which nearly covers the entire back of the camera itself. These LCD screens are exceptionally clear with a high resolution and allow you to see the photos even at terrible angles or in direct sunlight. Passing around a camera to view pictures when the entire back is the screen is pretty remarkable and you'll be glad that you're able to show it off like that.

Another surprising feature of these cameras can be the fact that you're able to actually record movie clips on them and get a very clear picture with it. These are movies with sound and you'll be very proud to send video clips of the kids off to grandmother, and most likely, she'll never guess it was from an ultra compact camera.

So now that you've gotten the answer to "what is an ultra compact digital camera", you can make a much more educated and logical buying decision.

What is a pinhole camera? Well, this is one of the earliest and the most simple cameras used in photography. What makes it special, though, is that, unlike most cameras, it can take pictures without the use of a lens. If you want to know what this camera is, read on. The article will talk about its history, how it works, and how it looks like.

What does It Look Like?

To answer the question of what a pinhole camera is, you have to know what it looks like. You will certainly recognize a pinhole camera right away because it does not look like any conventional camera. Depending on its size, it is a box-like figure with a small hole in it. When the shutter of the pinhole camera is opened, all the light beams that radiates from the object enters into the small hole and is projected into certain areas of the film. The film is mounted inside the box frame, opposite to the pinhole. Ordinary things such as oatmeal boxes, cereal boxes, and shoe boxes can be used as a box frame. A pin can be used to make the pinhole.

Who Invented It?

5th century Muslim mathematician Ibn al-Haytam invented the first pinhole camera, but it was Scottish scientist, Sir David Brewster, who took the first pictures using the pinhole camera in 1850. However, it did not enter the mainstream until the 1960s because, up to that time, people preferred to use the conventional cameras to take photographs. However, scientists such as Gemma Frisuis and Giambattista della Porta were intrigued by it, and they made studies and experiments to explain why such a simple device could actually take pictures. Gemma Frisius' study of a solar eclipse using a pinhole camera was ground-breaking and well-documented. In any event, its roots can be traced back to the time of the ancient Greeks. The Chinese also contributed important discoveries to forward the development of the pinhole camera.

How Does It Take Pictures?

We are capable of seeing objects because our eyes receive the light rays that radiate from them. That is the reason why we can't see anything in a darkened room because our eyes are not receiving any light from the objects around us. The pinhole camera works the same way. The interesting thing about it is that the smaller the pinhole is, the sharper the image becomes. The downside is that thinner light rays tend to bend more when they make contact with the film. As a result, the picture can be a bit fuzzy and blurry. Also, the image will appear inverted on the film. Don't worry though, you would have to put mirrors inside your pinhole camera if you want to correct the image perspective.

Do you now know what it is? How a pinhole camera works is simply amazing, isn't it? This simple camera has fascinated many photo enthusiasts and it has captured the imaginations of mathematicians, philosophers, and scientists both in the past and present. Knowing what is a pinhole camera is definitely an interesting thing.

Customer Review: It's great!
I upgraded to this camera from my older Powershot A510 (stolen). It's better in every way. MUCH faster, good battery life, awesome pictures, unbelievable zoom, and image stabilization (I got soooo many fuzzy pictures with the A510 -- not anymore!). It's definitely not compact (fills up my entire jeans pocket), but it takes infinitely better pictures than compact cameras. The software has also gotten much better, and you can finally play videos in ZoomBrowser. It's still not very good at extreme macro shots or low light conditions; but I'm not a pro photographer either, so I rarely mess with the settings. BTW, GREAT bang for the buck. Hope this helps you gather information!
Customer Review: Excellent Camera
For my first digital camera I wanted something that I could take pictures with on the fly as well as something with settings that I could play with. I know the basics about changing shutter speeds and other settings of that nature, but this is the first camera with which I've actually been able to manipulate to see what the effects are. Thus far I have been extremely satisfied with the results that I have seen in my images and am blown away with the clarity of a really good shot -which I seem to be able to get many of. As of 250+ shots, I am pleased.

Good wildlife safari photography is not only about composition and camera equipment because you first need to find your subjects before you can even lift your camera. This best five African wildlife destinations list helps you do that.

Once you have been going on wildlife photography safaris in Africa for a number of years you begin to realise and recognise that certain areas are better than others for generating good animal picture opportunities on a consistent basis.

The ranking is based on over twenty years of my safari photography experience, forums, countless trip reports and travel journals, travel magazines and prevailing wisdom in the Africa travel industry.

1. Serengeti NP - Tanzania

One of the best safari parks in Africa bar none, the Serengeti is a safari photography dream destination.

The wildlife viewing on a photographic safari here often borders on the spectacular aided by the fact that the vegetation is predominantly grassland which makes spotting animals from a distance considerably easier and provides less obstacles like bushes and trees to obscure your subjects.

The grassland is also able to sustain a multitude of herbivores like wildebeest, zebra and gazelle which in turn sustains a large population of predators to feed on them so it's no surprise that the Serengeti is often referred to as "big cat central". In the Masaai language Serengeti means "endless plain" which is very close to the truth.

Two extraordinary events occur here that make it an even more remarkable place to take a Tanzania safari. The annual wildebeest migration and the birth of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest foals.

The migration occurs as the massive herds of up to a million individuals begin their search for better grazing by moving north. The exact timing is dependant on the seasonal rains but they travel across the Serengeti en masse roughly between April and August.

In February - March, months before they begin their epic journey, the wildebeest give birth within a six week period to hundreds of thousands of calves, taking advantage of the sweet grazing available in the Serengeti at that time. They all foal at the same time to cause a glut of prey opportunities for the predators who make full use of the bonanza while they can.

And so can you with some remarkable picture opportunities in the offing.

2. Masai Mara Reserve - Kenya

This is one of the places where your camera will start steaming from overuse especially if you are after big cat pictures.

Along with the Serengeti in Tanzania, this is without a doubt the premier game viewing destination in Africa because of the quality and quantity of wildlife sightings and safari photography opportunities to be found here.

This sometimes works against it because in certain places it can be overrun with photographers and tourist in safari vehicles all jostling for the best position around a bemused lion pride or leopard in a tree.

But if predators are what you seek from a safari photography trip then this reserve will deliver them in spades in the form of lion, cheetah, hyena and even regular leopard sightings if you know the right areas.

Taking a hot air balloon ride over the plains will provide a unique perspective for your safari photography efforts not to mention an amazing experience.

3. Kruger NP - South Africa

The Kruger National Park has to rank as one of the best South Africa safari photography destinations, only slightly behind the Masai Mara and Serengeti when it comes to wildlife viewing because the vegetation in Kruger can be dense and sometimes mars the ability to see longer distances and get clear wildlife pictures.

But the variety of animals, birds and ecosystems that you can experience here are unparalleled anywhere else in Africa and the accommodation, roads and facilities are top notch and all at a very affordable price.

It's not unusual to see lion, leopard, cheetah, a pack of wild dog, rhino, elephant, buffalo and a whole host of antelope, crocodile and hippo in the course of a single trip including a variety of insects and reptiles.

On the bird front you will be spoiled with a seemingly never-ending supply of eagles, hawks, water birds and a host of migratory and indigenous species to the tune of about 510 different varieties.

You can easily do a self drive safari photography holiday here and still see a decent amount of wildlife especially if you stick to the central and southern portions of this massive park (larger than Ireland). The north has fewer animals due to dryer conditions but also less tourists which makes for a more isolated and intimate wildlife experience.

4. Okavango Delta and Moremi GR - Botswana

The Okavango Delta must qualify as the most unique and varied safari area in Africa and photographs of the landscape here are almost as prized as the wildlife pictures themselves.

The delta lies in the North of Botswana and it consists of narrow water channels lined by papyrus, floodplains covered knee deep in water, hippo filled lagoons, forest glades and savannah grassland.

You can go on outstanding safari photography expeditions here on foot, using a 4x4 vehicle, a mokoro (dug-out canoe) or a motorised boat.

Vast herds of buffalo, elephant, gazelle and zebra roam this rich ecosystem which is fed by the Okavango river which has its source in the Angolan highlands and floods the delta every year.

This treasure trove of available prey attracts the predators too and lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog thrive here. The dry season is the best for game viewing because the animals are drawn to the permanent water sources.

The Moremi game reserve consists of strictly controlled, privately managed concessions and it falls within the Okavango delta area and has no fences which leaves the animals free to roam around as they please.

There are a number of upmarket Botswana safari lodges in Moremi such as the Vumbura concession which contains both wetland and savannah areas for the best of both worlds.

The Delta is at its most impressive in August when the water is at its deepest and most of the young are born between November and March when the vegetation is lush and dense so it might be a good idea to plan any Botswana safari photography trips to coincide with these events.

5. South and North Luangwa NP - Zambia

Some experts have branded the Luangwa National Park as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world because the density of game you can find here mixed with the isolation and pure unadulterated wildness of it is almost without compare.

Because it is reasonably undiscovered except to the locals in the know and a select few foreign visitors, it hasn't been overrun by masses of tourists yet and you can experience a safari photography vacation here as it should be and some say that is the best Africa has to offer.

There are over 60 species of animal here with the unfortunate exception of rhino because they were poached into extinction and over 400 different kinds of birds.

They all rely on and are drawn to the winding Luangwa river which is crowded with some of the biggest concentrations of hippo and crocodile you will find anywhere in Africa. it has been estimated that there are 50 hippos per kilometre of this congested river.

The South Luangwa was the birthplace of the walking safari and it is still a very popular way to explore the area from a quality collection of safari lodges and camps. Night drives are another excellent way to see leopard which are reputed to be more regularly seen in this park than anywhere else in Africa because of the high concentrations of the predator. Lions and even rare sightings like honey badger, civet and wild dog are likely to be seen.

To take the true Zambia safari photography adventure a step farther, the northern luangwa area is even more remote, wild and isolated than the south and the wildlife and bird viewing experience is from the top draw. Definitely one for the safari cognoscenti.

Canon 2.0x Tele-Conversion Lens For PowerShot G9 & G7

With scenics, a major thrust is to make viewers wish they were there. Choose a view or subject you would like to look at 365 days a year. If you don't like the view or subject, chances are your customers won't either. Keep in mind that most buyers of Dcor Art enjoy pictures of pleasant subjects because they find in your pictures an 'escape' from the routine of everyday chores. That's why for this purpose it's important to take your scenics without people in them. Your viewers would like to imagine themselves strolling through the meadow or along the beach. They consider recognizable 'people' in your picture as an intrusion of their own quietude and privacy. In addition, if people are included in Dcor Art pictures, this can 'date' the picture due to the style of clothes, hairstyle, etc.

Nature close-ups are always a sure-seller. They rarely become out-dated: dandelion seeds, insects, birds, leaves, etc.

Art Dcor buyers tend to buy easily recognizable subjects. For example, an antique windmill would consistently sell better than a modern wind generator. Keep your Art Dcor simplified by isolating your subjects. (Feature only one at a time...rather than a group of something.)

Animals are always a popular subject -- usually wild ones; but also pets, domestic animals, dogs, cats, and horses.

Dramatic Landscapes are good bets, in all seasons, and especially with approaching storm clouds, complete with lightning.

Another area of Photo Dcor that is growing: abstracts. Abstracts
are finding favor for use in waiting rooms, attorneys' offices, professional buildings -- as well as homes.

Sports scenes lend themselves to game rooms and family playrooms; portraits (exotic or interesting faces) to legal suites; erotic subjects to private clubs; industrial scenes to manufacturing company offices.
It goes without saying -- your pictures should be well composed, visually exciting, and of high technical quality.

SOME POINTERS: Prices depend on whether you sell by volume, individually, or large format, to corporate clients. At art fairs, individual buyers will pay about $45 (11x14) and $30 (8x10). Before you decide on your own price, see what local department stores are getting.

Limited editions of prints are another issue. You can demand a higher fee. And, of course, if you keep a couple such prints for the grandchildren, your grandchildren just might become heirs to a very valuable print. What to charge for limited editions? Keep the professional artist in mind who once said, "If you are going to price your watercolor at $15, you'll find a $15 buyer. If you price it at $75 dollars, you'll find a $75 buyer. And if you price it at $850 -- you'll find a $850 buyer. Just takes time." Current going rate for a 16x20 (color) dcor photograph is between $75 and $150. PRINTLETTER (Zurich) lists international going rates as reported by galleries. Some samples: Eugene Smith: $750; Ben Shahn: $1500; George Silk: $1500; Aaron Siskin: $1200; Howard Sochurek: $950. Nice tidy sums?

B&W or Color? B&W prints sell well as Dcor Art, and particularly so if they are sepia toned. Color, however, has the edge over B&W. Shoot in transparencies rather than negative--for these three reasons:

1) You can project them effectively when you are demonstrating your subjects to a potential client;

2.) Processing lab technology can handle transparencies cheaper and more accurately than negs;

3.) As a stock photographer you'll also want to market your color through regular publishing channels --and most publishing markets require high-resolution digital images or transparencies.

Size - If you sell your prints on a single sales basis, you'll find the larger print (16x20) with higher fees will result in more year-end profit than trying to market larger numbers of the smaller prints (11x14 or 8x10) with the lower fees. On the other hand, if you go to multiple sales with smaller prints, and aim for the volume market in high traffic areas such as art and craft fairs or shopping malls, you will be equally successful with the smaller-sized prints.

Production. Resin-coated papers make B&W production on your own, very easy. Color production is usually best accomplished by a lab such as www.reedphoto.com. . Shop around. In New York, for example, an 11x14 costs $46 and a 16x20, $95. Quality is superb and the delivery is one day.

Frames. Framing or matting your prints definitely enhances appearance and saleability. Dry mounting materials and hinge mats are available everywhere. And finally, try making frames on your own. How-to series are often featured in photo and hobby and craft magazines. Consult the web for ideas and sources.

Promotion is the key to your selling success. If you've sold a series of prints to one bank in town, let the other banks know about your Dcor Art. Work for ways and places to exhibit your pictures often. Offer your services as a guest speaker or local TV talk show guest. Produce a website displaying your work; sell prints on e-Bay, produce brochures, flyers, or catalogs of your work.

Government agencies often buy groups of Dcor Art. Check out the Art for Buildings program in your state.

Canon Rebel XSi 450D / XS 1000D inBrief Laminated Camera Reference Card

The XSi 450D and XS 1000D cameras come with many controls and settings designed to allow you to make a perfect exposure. But remembering where they are and how the features work together can be daunting.

If you decide to carry the user manual in your bag but finding the answer to your question can be a frustrating experience. That is why Blue Crane Digital developed an abbreviated field reference guide to your digital SLR.

The inBrief reference card is a laminated, foldable guide that answers most camera operation questions quickly and easily. The information is arranged logically for ease of use. Differences between the two cameras are clearly noted so you ll always have the correct information at hand.

The cover panel of each inBrief displays a labeled line drawing of the camera, and a color-coded index to the rest of the panels. For instance, if you have a question about white balance, just check the index, then turn to the purple panel. An overview of the information on each of the twelve panels is listed below:

Cover: Annotated line drawing, General index
Blue: Viewfinder, Control panel, and Monitor displays
Red: Camera functions by exposure mode; Flash information
Lime: Focus; Drive Modes; Self-timer
Yellow: Exposure; Metering; Bracketing
Purple: White balance; ISO; Image size/quality
Orange: Displaying images; Resetting the camera
Green: Custom settings

The inBrief reference card is professionally printed on 10 point card stock, and is laminated on each side for long wear and protection from the elements. When folded, the dimensions are 5.5 by 4.25 inches. It fits neatly into the outside pocket of your camera bag for instant access. Once you have an inBrief, you can leave your manual at home.

With the digital age moving forward at a rapid rate, people expect the best from their recreation time including time spent 'in front of the box'. These days, with the latest HD TV Equipment available, people are able to immerse themselves in the thick of the action incorporating the clearest picture and lifelike digital surround sound each pushing the boundaries of what we are used to!

To get the best from your HD viewing experience, it's recommended to incorporate the latest HD TV equipment including HD capable TV's, HD set top boxes, the latest in surround sound and of course the appropriate HD TV cabling to connect it all together.

HD televisions come in a range of flavours and it is important to select one that is both future proof and suits your budget. When selecting your HD television, ensure it is capable of displaying standard definition, 720p and 1080i high definition formats. It is also worth while asking if the HD television in question is HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compatible. If the technology is too much for you, just look for the 'HD Tick' - This is the easiest way to tell if your television is true HD. The 'HD Tick' logo is an initiative of the Australian Digital Suppliers Industry Forum and may only be applied to televisions with specific criteria.

Do you own a gaming console? If so, you should enquire as to how many HDMI inputs it has. The HDMI inputs allows for high definition game play. Look for a high definition television that has more than one HDMI input to save you needing to change cords just to play your games.

An important part of your HD TV Equipment checklist is to incorporate the latest in surround sound technology. Lots of HD TV programs are also recorded with cinema-style surround sound, so it is certainly wise to invest in surround sound. There are several ways to connect your surround sound system to the rest of your HD TV equipment; HDMI, Optical, Digital Coax and RCA Analog. By far the easiest way to connect your surround sound system is by HDMI. HDMI also provides the best quality signal to ensure you get the best from your HD TV broadcasts.

Connecting all your HD TV equipment together is important in getting the best from your investment. The following connectors can all be used, some with better results than the rest:

- HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) cable

An HDMI cable is the simplest and best way to connect to your HD TV. Most HD TVs have an HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) connector which can be used to connect devices like your HD set-top box. HDMI offers crisp, clear all-digital video and analogue audio in a single cable

- DVI (Digital Video Interface) cable

Some HD TVs have a DVI (Digital Video Interface) connector instead of an HDMI connector. A DVI cable carries only picture information and not sound - so you'll need a separate audio connection. In some cases you can use an adapter to connect this to the HDMI connector on your HD device.

- Component Video cable

Component video is basically a transmission of three separate colour signals to represent all possible colours - no sound is carried on these cables. If you're using component video, make sure you have the cables properly matched to the colour coded jacks.

- S-Video cable

S-Video is a mid-level signal format that is not capable of carrying HD signals to HD Television.

- Composite Video cable

Composite video cable will provide the lowest resolution quality from your output device (DVD, VCR, cable box) to your TV and will not support a HD signal to your HD TV.

Invest in quality HD TV equipment including HD TV televisions, the latest in HD TV set top boxes and surround sound that can easily be connected to your HD TV components. You won't be sorry and your leisure time will be thrust into the High Definition digital future with new levels of entertainment immersion.

Giotto's Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1903 Large (Red) + Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System + Lenspen Digi-Klear LCD Monitor Pen Digital Display Cleaning System + Accessory Kit for Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Sony Digital SLR Cameras

Kit includes: 1) Giotto's Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1903; 2) Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System; 3) Lenspen Digi-Klear LCD Monitor Pen Digital Display Cleaning System; 4) Purosol Optical Molecular Lens Cleaner; 5) Deluxe 5-Piece Lens Cleaning Kit; 6) Microfiber Cleaning Cloth. ♦ The Giotto's Rocket-Air Blower is very powerful and easy to use cleaning system. The super air stream blows off dust particles, even those attracted by static electricity. Giotto's' patented and unique rocket base design allows the Rocket-Air to stand by itself and prevents accidental blocking of the inlet valve as well as making it easy to store. The inlet valve prevents back flow from the air tube. This air blower is an excellent way to remove dust off sensitive equipment parts without physical contact. It works great when used on digital camera sensors, lenses, telescopes, computer keyboards, microscopes, communications equipment, musical instruments or just about any precision equipment. ♦ Keeping your lenses and LCD spotless is crucial to high-quality photography. After all, just the slightest imperfection -- such as dust, fingerprints or water stains -- can mean the difference between a stunning portrait and an unsalvageable mistake. Unfortunately, microfiber cloths can often leave dust behind, and compressed air won't clean fingerprints or other stains. The answer is the LensPen and the LensPen DigiKlear! ♦ Deluxe 5-Piece Cleaning Kit includes: Lens Cleaning Tissue; Lens Cloth; Lens Cleaning Liquid; Blower Brush; Cotton Swabs.

A successful photography studio must be able to offer its clients a variety of backgrounds. Although seamless paper backdrops are very effective and commonly used in commercial studios, I prefer to use muslin backdrops in my studio.

Muslin backdrops are significantly more expensive than seamless paper and require more storage space and care. However, they provide interesting textures and more realistic backgrounds for more sophisticated studio work. Muslin backdrops vary from very simple, single color backgrounds to complicated, hand-painted works of art. Likewise, they range in price from $30 to upwards of $400 per backdrop. Thus, if you decide to invest in muslin backdrops, you certainly need to know how to care for them properly.

Here are a few tips I have found helpful in caring for muslin backdrops:

Washing - I have purchased a variety of muslins from various manufacturers. Some will indicate that muslins can be hand or machine-washed. Others vehemently instruct you NOT to wash them. I have found through experience that washing muslins will quickly degrade their quality and hasten your need to replace them. I would avoid washing muslins unless absolutely necessary.

Stains or Soil - If your muslin backdrop becomes stained or soiled, try to spot treat using a scrub brush and mild soap and warm water. NEVER use bleach or harsh, abrasive detergents. If the stain resists spot treatment, you may need to soak the area in a warm water and mild soap solution overnight. You can drape the backdrop over a tub, strategically placing the spot over the tub and placing a smooth but heavy object on the spot to hold it in the solution. If this course of action fails to remove the stain, you may have no choice but to use a more powerful detergent or, perhaps, OxyClean. Keep in mind, however, that you may damage the backdrop and have to incorporate the damaged area into your photo background, shift it out of your cameras view, or simply place your subject(s) in front of the stain.

Creases and Folds Your muslin backdrop will arrive heavily folded, as there is simply no other way to ship a heavy, bulky muslin backdrop. If you know you will not need to use the backdrop for several days, simply hang it on your backdrop support and allow gravity to work for you. If you cannot wait several days to use the backdrop or if the creases and folds are still visible, use a hand-held fabric steamer. I use a Conair compact fabric steamer (model GS4, est. retail $30.00) with great results. Follow the instructions included with the steamer and be careful not to rub the muslin with the steam head. In the absence of a fabric steamer, you can (if you are brave) allow your backdrop to lay outstretched on a clean, no-traffic portion of your yard overnight. The natural dew will help to remove most of the wrinkles and folds.

Ironing JUST DON'T DO IT! Ironing your muslins will create noticeable, shiny hotspots in your backdrop and ruin the material.

Dust and Hair Muslin backdrops, like everything else in your home or studio, will attract dust and hair. To remove dust, simply shake the muslin as you would any other linen. To remove clingy pet or human hair, use a large lint roller (est. retail $4.00). They work fantastic and wont break the bank.

Storage Its best to roll your muslin backdrops into a ball when storing them. Natural wrinkles, not patterned folds and creases, can actually enhance your backdrop and create even more texture, which adds to the realism of your backdrops. Many photographers like working with wavy, naturally wrinkled backdrops. If your photo shoot is casual, then you can certainly get by with using one. If, however, you will be doing formal, more serious work, I would highly recommend removing as many of the wrinkles as you can before the shoot. I like to store my muslin backdrops, rolled in balls, in large plastic tubs. This helps to eliminate excessive dust from collecting on them and makes it easier and faster for me to simply shake and hang them when needed.

Muslin backdrops, when properly cared for, can last a number of years. They represent a significant investment in your photography business. I hope these tips will help you to better preserve the quality and integrity of your muslin backdrops.

It is easy to make a good canvas photo print. You just upload the photo, pay the price and wait until your new photos on canvas are delivered. But if you want to make the perfect canvas print, you need to know a little about some technical issues. Do not worry though - it is not that complicated.

First of all you have to choose the right format, before you get your photos printed on canvas. The format of your photos has to match the format of the canvas. That means that if you like to buy a 30" x 40" size canvas photo, your photo has to be in the format 3:4 as well (or in other words the width must be 1.25 times the height).

The format varies among cameras. Most compact cameras shoot photos in the 3:4 format while SRL digital cameras shoot in a 2:3 format. Luckily many online photo dealers, who print canvas photos, provide online tools to check it automatically. If the photo format does not match the canvas size, you can crop the photo - if you not do it, it will be done automatically. But by doing it yourself, you have more control. Just remember that it is not a good idea to cut a head or a foot. If you have to do that to fit your photo on the canvas, it is probably better to choose another canvas format.

The next thing you have to think about is the size of the photo. If you print a photo in a standard photo size, the number of pixels does not really matters. But when it comes to printing photos on canvas, they do. To make big canvas photos, you need photos with high resolution (meaning a lot of pixels). If you only got a 2 megapixel camera, you can still get a good small-size canvas photo, but to get one of the bigger ones, you need a newer camera with much more pixels. With an 8 megapixels camera, you can have canvas photos in even the largest sizes.

The technical issues about Format and Size do also apply when printing normal photos. But the subject wraps is a special Canvas Photo issue. It is possible to buy your canvas photos rolled (like a poster), but normally you will have it wrapped around some kind of wooden bars.Basically there are two kinds of wraps: Museum Wraps and Gallery Wraps.

Museum wrap is the way the museums normally have their paintings hanging on the wall. The photo is printed on the canvas with a white area is added around it. When it is then stretched around the bars, the photo itself fills the front, while the sides and the back is just plain white canvas.

The museum wrap is a good solution, if you are planning to frame your canvas photo. And if important parts of the photo are near the edges, it is also a wise choice. It is also normally the wrap to choose, if your canvas photo is a reproduction of an original painting.

The big difference between the museum wrap and the gallery wrap is that in a gallery wrapped canvas, there is not added an extra white area. Instead the border of the canvas photo is wrapped around the edges, so the print extends around the sides of the canvas. The gallery wrap is perfect, if you are planning to hang your canvas photo without a frame. Just remember that it works best, if there is no important part of the photo in the edge part.

That is it. You do not have to learn more technical stuff to get a perfect canvas photo. Just remember to choose the right format (or crop your photo), the right size and the most suitable wrap type.

Customer Review: Great Quality
I've been using this camera for close to 2 years now and have been impressed with it's durability and image quality. I find it is not the best in low lighting situations but over all this camera has helped me capture some awesome images. I will be hanging on to it even though I'm upgrading to and SLR soon - a good point and shoot is invaluable.
Customer Review: Great scenic shots for a painter
I have had the Canon Powershot A540 for about 2 years. I upgraded from a Nikon 3200 series. I am always on the lookout for things I can turn into a painting. This camera has served me well. I can take a picture through the front windshield while moving and get a great shot. I do however find that to view the pictures taken you have to move the mode switch down to do a review. If you forget to put it back in camera position nothing happens. I like the factor that it allows me so many different shooting modes. It has portrait, landscape (although I've never used it when filming landscape),night snapshots, kids & pets, indoor, foliage, snow, beach, fireworks and underwater. You can change the shooting mode using the button on top of the camera. Can't get any easier than that. Normally I've not had to change my setting to shoot a picture of an amazing color sky. It's response is quick, red eye is reduced but not totally eliminated as I have found out in some shots I've taken. It is lightweight and small enough that it fits in a small cosmetic case in my purse. Uses 2 AA batteries. I use the photo batteries and for me they last a long time. I've been amazed at how long they last. For me downloading is very convenient. I remove the SD memory card and put it in my computer. Then I can go in and crop, stitch, and do whatever I feel has to be done to make the picture better. The zoom is great, brings what I want closer without losing any detail. In normal setting, I've taken indoor pictures of the grandchildren and my husband and they are perfect. Color is very good. The one thing I would really like to have on this camera is image stabilization. Looking now to getting either the new Kodak Zi6 pocket camcorder or the RCA small wonder EZ201 so I can capture pix of my great grandchildren doing their thing.

You can find very few people who are not into taking photos. Everyone would probably take snaps even for the occasions. With the advent of digital cameras, the entire process has been made easier. There are some top rated cameras one could depend upon.

Fujifilm FinePix F100 fd is the first in the list and it has image quality of 12 mega pixel with a 28-140mm zoom lens along with other specified options. It also owns the pride of having the best ever Face Detection Features ever seen in any other models. It has the ability to detect faces from any angles possible.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50 stands the next having a 3-inch LCD screen which can be tilted along with 15x zoom function. The night shot mode is simply competitive along with slideshow mode. Long zooms are possible with steady shot image stabilization. It also has the advanced sports mode to make things pretty easier.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 is simply another option to depend upon. It is a compact and handsome digital camera having a lot of in-built intelligence. Wide angle is made possible with the 4x,25-100mm Leica zoom.

Nikon D60 is the best one for the beginners as well as the professionals having digital SLRs along with a compact option. It has special features of dust reduction to stabilize the quality of the image taken. For all those who are looking out for sharing the photos with your friends and family and looking out for a solid second body, you will be simply glad to choose the
Nikon D60.

The Olympus E-420 has the special function of digital SLR with daylight viewable LCD, contrast detection along with increased frame rate. It has a compact zoom lens measuring 14-42 mm making very easy to be used.

I have a DSLR and wanted a simple point and shoot camera. This was the perfect fit.
Customer Review: An all around fantastic camera!
So allow me to start by saying i'm just your average "joe-user" who enjoys snapping photos while on vacations and out with friends. Recently i owned an Olympus Stylus 810 and was very, very pleased with it. Unfortunately i dropped it damaging the entire lens assembly and it was going to cost $140 to repair. With a week at the beach coming up i didn't have time to research a lot. On a friends recommendation i made this purchase. Now my goals are to have a smaller sized camera that will allow nice point and shoot photography but has some manual (even minimal) controls as i do enjoy photography and if i decide to go further, i'll be familiar with the manual controls and such. So after getting this camera i did a few test runs to get it all working w/ my MacBook Pro laptop. Here's my experience thus far: Install on Windows Vista and Mac OS X Leopard were both absolutely flawless. Software went right in, once connected downloading the images and viewing them was a one click event. The software bundled is actually quite nice. I no longer have iPhoto (thanks Leopard) so i was unsure what to use for basic photo management. Not to worry Canons bundled software, "ZoomBrowserEX" does a fantastic job of that. Now as far as options go i'm by no means skilled in the realm of cameras, however from my limited experience i can say this camera packs quite a large array for such a small price tag. The auto modes work very well, not to mention having the ability to just pop it into "Manual" mode and tweak by hand! All it takes is 20-30min of reading on the internet and you can be messing with the settings and taking some great low light, artistic, etc... photographs. I also found it's quite easy to use single handed. A lot of times on my beach trip i was holding onto a rock to balance myself and only had my right hand available. Switching into say "Macro" mode is very simple. Same goes for things like zoom, flash, etc... overall very user friendly design. Picture quality has been absolutely stunning! I truly did not expect it from a camera under $160. As with most "point and shoot" cameras when upping the ISO level to take dim light shots without a flash it does tend to get grainy. Although this camera does counter balance that a little, and does a good job, it's still noticeable. That's where the "Manual" mode came in for me. Being able to adjust shutter and aperture etc... really allowed me to take some exceptional low light shots that are not grainy at all. So my overall impression is absolutely pleased! For the money i doubt you'd find a better camera with as many features that can produce the quality of photos this can. I was impressed to see how small it is in person and exactly just how well constructed it feels. Also the thing i loved is there's a huge wealth of accessories like extra lenses such as telephoto, macro, lens filters, etc... Amazon has a "kit" that looks like a fantastic deal that comes with most of those things including a tripod. That is definitely going to be my next purchase. So if you're looking for a great camera that can "point and shoot" and has the manual controls if you think you may be interested in getting into photography, this is my recommendation hands down. I posted 11 photos in the "Customer Photos" section. Feel free to check them out to hopefully get an idea of what this camera can do with "default" settings, i was blown away. Lastly as i'm finding out photography is all about your "eye" and knowing enough about your hardware to capture what you "see." I'm not much for taking pictures of people i really enjoy closeupsngle0d so that's what i'm learning to capture with this camera. Hopefully my pictures will be a decent display of what this camera can do. Just remember if you don't like your photos it's probably not the cameras fault! There will never be a one stop solution, but overall this one is fantastic! Hope it helps, Happy picture taking, Frank L. Morales II

Enticing title, huh? No, we wont be discussing nude photography, at least not today. Rather, this article will, hopefully, shed some light on the tremendous image quality advances of todays digital cameras.

Imagine taking a developed 4x6 snapshot of your childs birthday party and scanning it into your computer. If you printed the resulting photo, you would notice some considerable degradation of the image quality. The interesting fact is that most JPEG images are comparable to the quality of the scanned and reprinted image. Surprised? The JPEG image format is, by all means, acceptable for most consumer and even some professional purposes. JPEGs are definitely the best choice for sharing in email and even for printing on photo paper to place in an album or share with family and friends.

If, however, you are a camera geek (like me), you are simply not going to be satisfied with anything less than perfection from your images. In that case, you will definitely want to consider purchasing a camera with RAW image format capabilities. Working with the RAW format is the equivalent of working with a color or B&W negative. You have substantially more technical and creative control. The downside is that the RAW image format requires significantly more storage space on your media cards and demands more advanced photo-editing capabilities, which means investing in more powerful software with integrated RAW image editing functions (i.e. Adobe Photoshop CS2, retail cost $649). But, in my humble opinion, it is well worth the higher learning curve and expense.

Serious photography hobbyists and certainly those who may want to sell their photographic work will benefit tremendously from the superiority of the RAW format. The good news is that several reasonably priced prosumer digital cameras now offer the RAW image format. The Canon Digital Rebel XT 8 MP camera (est. retail $650) offers both JPEG and RAW formats. Likewise, the Sony Cybershot DSCR1 10.3 MP camera (est. retail $850) offers RAW image capture and an impressive array of features. For die-hard Kodak consumers, the new Kodak Easyshare P880 8MP camera (est. retail $500) offers a wide-angle optical zoom and RAW file support. Last, but not least, the Nikon Coolpix 8700 8 MP camera (est. retail $600) offers RAW mode image recording and many of the features commonly sought after by professional photographers.

So, if you are in the market for a new digital camera, you owe it to yourself to check out the latest, surprisingly affordable innovations in RAW image capture. I doubt you will be disappointed.

Purchasing a digital camera is a wise decision, particularly if you take a lot of pictures and you want to control how they are developed. Camera prices continue to plummet and Americans are exchanging their 35mm cameras for digital devices at a record pace. The choices for you can seem endless, but with careful comparison shopping you can bring home a bargain! The following online sites provide visitors with helpful information to make an informed decision:

BizRate.Com Visitors to this site will find out all the information they need as the site offers excellent price comparison of the various camera models available. In addition, visitors submit their own product comments which can be a huge help as you decide which model to purchase. Detailed information about the various products available is also online to make your visit rich and informative. Finally, visitors rank the stores too!

PriceGrabber.Com What was said of BizRate.Com can be said of Price Grabber. Plenty of site reviews for you to read too!

MySimon.Com Another in a series of online comparison stores. You might not find it as user friendly since you may have to dig for some of the information. Still, they offer the same information as Biz Rate and Price Grabber. Certainly, My Simon is worth a closer look!

Maybe online purchasing is not your desire. Perhaps you would prefer to purchase your camera at a local store? If so, use the three sites above to do all your research and then go to your local Best Buy, Circuit City, or other digital camera retailer and see what they have to offer. Each of the big retailers has nice web sites and they run weekly specials that may or may not be picked up by the comparison sites. A big plus: you get to go to the store and get a hands on feel for the camera and talk to a knowledgeable salesperson. Returns are easier too if purchased at a local retailer.

Still, not sure you should purchase a digital camera? Lets look at three important advantages of owning a digital camera:

1. Pictures are available to you instantly. You can preview your picture; if you dont like the picture you took, you can erase it and take another picture.

2. Good resolution. If you are taking 3x5 or 4x6 pictures, your pictures will turn out to be sharp. If you are a photographer, you will still need the 35mm camera for 8x10 shots. Digital is improving, but the resolution isnt quite on par with 35mm cameras when it comes to larger pictures.

3. Eliminate development costs. No more running down to the local drugstore for picture development. You can do it all from your computer; there are now some excellent photo printing machines you can purchase that will print out crisp photos at a low cost to you.

All in all, the digital camera revolution is exploding. Join in by shopping the web for great bargains!

Customer Review: Ability to charge anywhere......
I purchased this product on the promise that the batteries for the Canon camera could be charged at home, overseas, or by the 12 volt accessory jack in most cars and trucks. Excellent performance. Compact, complete, and reliable. Thank you for a thoughtful combination.
Customer Review: Great addition to Canon SD 700 IS
I purchased this kit because I lost the original battery and charger during a recent trip. This kit was more than I expected and the second battery is a bonus. PS My original accessories were found a week after this replacement was received but I'm still happy to have the spares.

Are you a DSLR Camera enthusiast? Do you possess a Lensbaby for your digital single lens reflex camera? No....read on McBeth!

Do you know what a Lensbaby is specially designed for? If not...read on. A Lensbaby is an innovative designed gadget used to facilitate a sweet spot of focus, which leaves the remainder of the scene, away from the centre of the image forming a mystical blurred effect.

Do you know what a Lensbaby looks like? No?...then read on. Crucially, a Lensbaby is a fifty millimetre lens, mounted to the end of what looks like a section of pool cleaner rubber hose pipe. The other end of the tube section has a mount used to firmly fix the Lensbaby to the camera lens mount.

The flexible "pipe component" provides a wide range of movement, both swing and horizontal, in all directions. Accordingly this is an excellent gadget as the photographer can place the sweet spot precisely as required. The remainder of the scene blurs magically out of prime focus.

The Lensbaby is such an creative attachment that I cant stop experimenting with the thing. To all extents, everything I frame through the lens now has a vastly different perspective and aspect. This encompasses everything from architecture scenes to landscape and ....well every scene you can imagine.

You really need to get hold of a Lensbaby in order to compose and create vibrantly entrancing images.

RRP in Australia at DVDreamtime is $249. I reckon the Lensbaby is worth every dollar if you are out to produce Startling images into your DSLR photography.

Like all things technological, the world of digital cameras and photography is filled with acronyms. Here are some of the most common acronyms related to digital photography, together with what they actually mean.

AF

Auto-focus systems often include an AF lamp that helps the system focus in low light situations. The lamp may use visible or infrared light.

CCD

Charge-coupled device is a system that converts the light signals to digital data. The name CCD is often used for the whole sensor that takes the photograph, though it actually only refers to a part of it.

LCD

Liquid crystal displays are used in digital cameras as a viewfinder. Usually the screen is around two inches measured diagonally and can also be used to play back images taken earlier. LCD screens are also used on some television sets and computers.

ISO

International Organization for Standardization is an international body that sets standards. In photography there are two relevant standards: ISO speed for film and ISO exposure index for digital cameras.

SD

Secure Digital cards are used as memory cards in many digital cameras. They are flash memory cards and come in many sizes - both physical and memory size. They may hold up to 8GB of information - thousands of high quality photographs.

These are perhaps the most usual acronyms related to digital photography. They can be found in digital camera specifications or adverts, and are often used by photography enthusiasts. Be sure to learn them before going into a serious conversation about photography!

Got a really nice picture of the cottage on your PC? Or perhaps you have a beautiful sunset photograph you shot last year just sitting on your hard drive collecting digital dust. What a lot of people don't realize is, there is a huge demand for these and many other kinds of shots. Most people once they take a beautiful shot and make a copy of 2 just either burn the pictures to CD or DVD or just leave them on their hard drive to consume vast amounts of space, never to be seen again. Instead you can turn these shots in a money making photography opportunity.

Selling digital photography online is big business but nothing says you have to let the professionals make all the money. As a matter of fact you would be surprised at the amount of money an amateur can make selling photos online.

How does one go about getting started selling digital photography online? Well the process is really easy and once you learn how to do it properly it can be a great way to put those dust collecting pictures to work. First step is to simply gather up all the photos you think might have potential and don't be surprised at what might actually make you the most money. That picture of fluffy the cat wearing his birthday cap blowing out a candle just might be big bucks waiting to be earned. Next is to get set up with a stock photography site.

There are all kinds and some have better deals for the amateur photographer then others, so shop around and do your research. After that it's simply a matter of if your picture gets downloaded you get paid. Ok I lied, there is a lot more to it then that. A lot can be said about learning what kinds of pictures have more demand then others, which stock photography site has the best deal and the best market. How to tag your photos so they actually get seen and a lot more. But in essence the process is the same, upload photo, wait for your photo to get downloaded and then you get paid.

It took me awhile to learn exactly how to effectively put into practice these three simple steps but once I did I started to make money selling photos online. So I decided to help others by providing all the information someone needs for selling digital photography online for profit at http://www.sellingphotosforprofit.com

My name is David Pentoch, and selling photos online can be a great money making photography opportunity. At http://www.sellingphotosforprofit.com you'll learn step-by-step how you can submit photos online and earn extra cash all in your spare time with those pictures of your great aunt without her teeth in.
