Customer Review: A Canon Rebel accessory kit for a great price, delivered quickly to your door!
I'm always a bit leary about buying products unseen, but this accessory kit is a genuinely good deal, which was delivered far more quickly than I had expected it to come. The tripod is not exceedingly sturdy, but it is certainly light weight and servicable--the sort of thing that is good for a beginner. However, if you want a really good trip that you plan on sticking with over the long haul, I do suggest that you keep looking.
Customer Review: Excellent service & product from 47th Street Photo!
I'm thrilled with the service & product from 47th Street Photo. I'd been watching Accessory Packages for the Canon Rebel XTi I got for Christmas. However, after our daughter won an event at her school and I took loads of photos to add to the CF Memory Card, I knew I had to immediately purchase this particular Kit when ALL of the photos suddenly disappeared from the Card. We had reviewed the photos several times, but the next day they were gone, including all the photos back to Christmas! I was sick!! Canon can't explain what happened, and we did not delete them. Ritz Camera locally said to bring the Card, pay $40 to attempt to retrieve them. Canon recommended several of the free recall programs on line but I still needed a Card Reader. I also needed a case, extra battery, etc. anyway. I ordered 47th Street Photo's Kit for the price and what it included. I was amazed at the incredibly fast shipment. I immediately installed the Image Recall program, and could see it was finding files on my CF Card. Easy instructions and on-line or telephone support. Ten hours later, I had EVERYTHING back, INCLUDING photos I had intentionally deleted. YESSSS!!!! I would have liked to have seen measurements on the Samsonite camera case included right in this item's description, but I found them elsewhere, and I knew the case, though it would still work, would be a bit small for my XTi AND the extra lens and accessories that I prefer to put in a bag, but it will be perfect for our video camera. I would recommend the Canon Gadget Bag if you plan to carry it all! If I want to switch and take fewer items with the XTi, this Samsonite bag is great, well padded, extra pockets for more CF cards, battery, etc. The tri-pod looks sturdy. Extra batteries in the Canon brand are not cheap, so to get an extra battery included in this package is excellent. Some "generic" batteries need their own charger, but it appears this Opteka battery can be charged by my Canon charger. The additional contents were, to me, a great bonus including yet another 2 GB CF Card at the 133X speed. I had ordered another CF Memory Card at this speed over a month ago from another company and it has yet to arrive, so, again, this is awesome from 47th Street Photo! I would highly recommend this package and this Seller! You will have it all in this Kit and you will have it well packaged and incredibly fast from this Seller. Thank you!!! I have found that more and more photobuyers are realizing the benefits the Internet affords them for photo research. We talk with ten to 20 photobuyers each day. As more and more computer-literate photo editors come on board who know how to utilize the Web, photographers will flourish.

The automobile, airplane, and the telephone launched huge leaps in communication among peoples of the world, and so do the capabilities of the new Internet delivery system. But the Internet goes even farther. It affords independent photographers the delivery power that was once the domain only of the large stock photo agencies.

As a photographer, now that your images can be both pre-viewed and transmitted electronically, you can open the curtain on a brand new horizon of opportunity for yourself.

The top dog major stock agencies are no longer, well, top dogs. In the past, creative persons, whether songwriters, musicians, photographers, filmmakers, etc., had no way of competing against the middleman agents. It was near impossible to break into the ranks and get the attention of the buyers directly.

The World Wide Web has changed all of this. For example, if a major publisher is producing a book, CD, magazine article, Web review, TV special, on agricultural growth of cucumbers in Venezuela, there would be no reason to turn to a large digital stock agency to seek the needed images. Using web search engine efficiency, a buyer can, in minutes, locate photos from independent freelancers, and save money by eliminating the middleman.

Also important, images from a corporate stock agency would usually be 'generic' in commercial style (smiling, contented farm workers (usually models), shiny new equipment, clean landscapes, etc.) This type of photo isnt the primary choice of most editorial buyers, who want real-life, on-the-scene images.

THE AGE FACTOR

Furthermore, many agency images would be at least 6 to 12 months old. (It takes that long for the corporate bureaucracy at most major stock photo agencies to acquire, edit, catalog, and process a single image.)

The individual stock photographer not only has more recent photos, but can in fact, within hours, produce the needed photo and deliver it to the buyer, in high resolution, from anywhere in the world, to anywhere in the world.

Independent photographers are able to use key words, plus the power of search engines such as Google, to offer delivery speed to buyers. Photobuyers are realizing it's to their advantage to deal directly with independent stock photographers.
