Customer Review: canon sd870is
we were heading to Hungary and I didn't want to take my new d300 so i went online for some advise. This is a great little camera. If you buy one, play with the manual settings as it takes a little practice, but this camera now replaced my d70 as my go to camera for daily usage. good job.
Customer Review: Great small easy to use camera
Have used the camera in a variety of settings. The range of setting options provides many opportunities to get those hard to take pictures. For the average user some continual experimenting of settings, flash and speeds will be an on-going effort but the default "Auto" setting is always a good fallback. The wide angle lens and zoom combination give a great range of composition. Size and weight of camera makes it perfect to bring to functions where space is a premium. While 8 MP is nice most pictures can be taken at a lesser MP seting and still be of useful quality.

There are many applications where a simple Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) camera system can be used. Today more and more churches, sanctuaries, temples or where ever a religious service can be held are incorporating Pan Tilt Zoom camera systems into their facility. This type of system is also great for remote viewing or closed circuit broadcasting within the facility or burning to a DVD using a DVR.

The most important component of a PTZ system is the PTZ camera. The most popular are the Sony EVI-D70 and EVI-D100 and the Canon VC-C50i. There is a new high definition pan tilt zoom (PTZ) camera by Sony, EVI-HD1 A simple system can be set-up with relative easy and doesn't always require an integrator. The other elements include cabling, controllers, wall mounts, ceiling mounts, Digital Video Recorders (DVR) and if incorporating with a PC an interface card.

There are many example on the Web of Pan Tilt Zoom camera applications. There are also many capable integrators to incorporate the Pan Tilt Zoom Camera system, but check references and it is advisable to work with someone that is local.

The following quote for Christianity Today, a buyers guide website is useful to employ,"One useful technique to separate the wheat from the chaff is to hire a prospective vendor for a small job, and then evaluate their response time, orderliness, professionalism, and quality of work. This should be a good indicator of their performance if given the large task of installing a full system."
