Customer Review: Ability to charge anywhere......
I purchased this product on the promise that the batteries for the Canon camera could be charged at home, overseas, or by the 12 volt accessory jack in most cars and trucks. Excellent performance. Compact, complete, and reliable. Thank you for a thoughtful combination.
Customer Review: Great addition to Canon SD 700 IS
I purchased this kit because I lost the original battery and charger during a recent trip. This kit was more than I expected and the second battery is a bonus. PS My original accessories were found a week after this replacement was received but I'm still happy to have the spares.

Are you a DSLR Camera enthusiast? Do you possess a Lensbaby for your digital single lens reflex camera? No....read on McBeth!

Do you know what a Lensbaby is specially designed for? If not...read on. A Lensbaby is an innovative designed gadget used to facilitate a sweet spot of focus, which leaves the remainder of the scene, away from the centre of the image forming a mystical blurred effect.

Do you know what a Lensbaby looks like? No?...then read on. Crucially, a Lensbaby is a fifty millimetre lens, mounted to the end of what looks like a section of pool cleaner rubber hose pipe. The other end of the tube section has a mount used to firmly fix the Lensbaby to the camera lens mount.

The flexible "pipe component" provides a wide range of movement, both swing and horizontal, in all directions. Accordingly this is an excellent gadget as the photographer can place the sweet spot precisely as required. The remainder of the scene blurs magically out of prime focus.

The Lensbaby is such an creative attachment that I cant stop experimenting with the thing. To all extents, everything I frame through the lens now has a vastly different perspective and aspect. This encompasses everything from architecture scenes to landscape and ....well every scene you can imagine.

You really need to get hold of a Lensbaby in order to compose and create vibrantly entrancing images.

RRP in Australia at DVDreamtime is $249. I reckon the Lensbaby is worth every dollar if you are out to produce Startling images into your DSLR photography.

Like all things technological, the world of digital cameras and photography is filled with acronyms. Here are some of the most common acronyms related to digital photography, together with what they actually mean.

AF

Auto-focus systems often include an AF lamp that helps the system focus in low light situations. The lamp may use visible or infrared light.

CCD

Charge-coupled device is a system that converts the light signals to digital data. The name CCD is often used for the whole sensor that takes the photograph, though it actually only refers to a part of it.

LCD

Liquid crystal displays are used in digital cameras as a viewfinder. Usually the screen is around two inches measured diagonally and can also be used to play back images taken earlier. LCD screens are also used on some television sets and computers.

ISO

International Organization for Standardization is an international body that sets standards. In photography there are two relevant standards: ISO speed for film and ISO exposure index for digital cameras.

SD

Secure Digital cards are used as memory cards in many digital cameras. They are flash memory cards and come in many sizes - both physical and memory size. They may hold up to 8GB of information - thousands of high quality photographs.

These are perhaps the most usual acronyms related to digital photography. They can be found in digital camera specifications or adverts, and are often used by photography enthusiasts. Be sure to learn them before going into a serious conversation about photography!
